The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

Phantom Hourglass

Overview

Phantom Hourglass is the first Zelda game to hit the Nintendo DS and is the sequel to The Wind Waker. You still sail the ocean in a boat, but this time, instead of a small, red sailboat, you get a nice big steamboat (plenty of leg room). You can customize it at will with the parts you find scattered throughout the Great Sea. With the stylus in your hand, sally forth, and clash with the forces of darkness.

The game begins with Link and Tetra on the deck of Tetra's pirate ship, looking out over the big blue. Suddenly, the fabled ship known as 'the Ghost Ship' appears out of nowhere! Tetra decides to board it alone, but Link, not wanting to put her in danger, follows her. Suddenly, a bloodcurdling scream comes from onboard the ship; it's Tetra! Something must have happened to her! Link valiantly tries scramble the rest of the way onto the ship, but loses his grip and falls to the deep clutches of the ocean below!

Hey!

When he comes to, he finds himself on an unknown island. He is immediately greeted by a yellow fairy who calls herself 'Ciela'. Ciela informs Link on where he is and how she had found him. Then, Link tells her of the Ghost Ship and the events that proceeded their meeting. Wanting to help out, Ceila directs Link to her grandfather's house, thinking that her grandpa can help Link. Still attempting to get his bearings, Link follows Ciela to her grandfathers house. Here, Ciela's grandpa warns Link of the dangers of the Ghost ship, and advises him to just 'forget about his friend'. Being the courageous hero he is, though, Link doesn't take no for an answer. Ceila's grandfather gives in and tells Link of a sailor named Linebeck; supposedly, the only sailor man enough to search for the Ghost Ship. Link immediately sets off to find Linebeck and rescue Tetra. Here is where the adventure begins.
