What is a GameShark?

The GameShark is the brand name of a series of game "enhancer" hardware that sits in between the cartridge and console used to enable cheats or glitches in games. The Game Boy and Game Boy Color GameShark was released in 1998 with a "Game Trainer" feature, allowing new codes to be entered.
