How to Defeat The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass Bosses

Blaaz, Master of Fire

Blaaz

Weakness: Boomerang and Sword.

Blaaz is the first boss you fight in Phantom Hourglass. When the battle starts he will split into three copies of himself, all of which are clones. Don’t even bother striking them with your sword in the sword is useless against them. The only way you can beat him is using the boomerang and drawing a line to each of the three Blaazs. Don’t even bother just randomly selecting which ones to hit; you’ll need to hit each Blaaz according the number of horns on their head on the top screen: 1, 2, 3. When you have done so, you can then form Blaaz back to his original form and then be able to strike him with your sword! Continue as needed in order to defeat Blaaz and retrieve Leaf, the Spirit of Power!

Cyclok, Stirrer of Winds

Cyclok

Weakness: Bombs and Sword.

Cyclok is a flying Octorok which can summon the power of winds to make him hover over him. To damage him and send him tumbling down, send a bomb into a cyclone which is just under him. This will cause him to fall down and allow you to hurt him. Go strike him with you sword and repeat it a few times to defeat him. If you run out of bombs during the fight, use the bomb flowers around the ring and throw them into the cyclone as well. Defeating him gives you another heart container and the Spirit of Wisdom Neri.

Crayk, Bane of Courage

Crayk

Weakness: Arrows and Sword.

Crayk is a large hermit crab-like creature with a large red shell on its back. When the battle starts it shoots certain smoke from itself which instantly alters its color and make it completely invisible… You can only hit it if you watch it’s movement on the top screen. When it charges at you, launch an arrow into it. It’ll retreat into it’s shell and spin around. Pop the six air sacs on the side of it’s shell to bust open the shell. When you’ve done that, strike at it with your sword. It will keep it’s massive claws in it’s face to protect itself and that will give you enough time to get behind it and attack it’s tail. Repeat the process a bit and Crayk will fall, giving you the half Spirit of Courage.

Diabolical Cubus Sisters

Diabolical Cubus Sisters

Weakness: Deflected Energy Orbs.

The Diabolical Cubus Sisters are a pair of four ghostly sisters who live on the Ghost Ship. You’re going to play Dead Man’s Volleyball with them. You need to reflect their orbs back to them like you’re playing volleyball. It will take sometime as each sister takes about two hits to be defeated. Avoid the lasers coming out of the mouth of the other alive sisters. Occasionally they will shot out a fake orb which is comprised of four smaller orbs… Don’t hit it! When you get to the final sister, she will spit out two fake orbs and a real one, so be careful and hit the real one and don’t hit the fake ones. After which you’ll get a heart container and a Ghostly key to get to Tetra.

Dongorongo, Armored Lizard

Dongorongo

Weakness: Bombs, Bombchus, Sword.

Dongorongo is a more difficult boss. Not only must you attack him with Gongoron, but you must also attack him with Link. This makes it hard as you need to both focus on Gongoron to tackle him down and having Link send Bombchus into Dongorongo’s mouth. While Gongoron attacks, several Eye Slugs will attack Link so you need to change between Link and Gongoron often. When Dongorongo falls, send a Bombchu into his mouth to damage him.

Half way through the battle he will fall over and Gongoron will run out to collect the Pure Metal. When Link crosses over, Dongoron will awaken again and a large jewel will erupt out his back. Run and avoid the eye slugs and the fireballs from Dongorongo and then when he inhales, throw a bomb into his mouth to make him fall over, then strike the jewel with your sword to damage him. Repeat as needed in order to fell the large dinosaur and collect the Crimsonine.

Gleeok, Two-Headed Dragon

Gleeok

Weakness: Grappling Hook and Sword.

Gleerok is an interesting boss. In order to beat him you need to use the Grappling Hook. When one of the heads attacks with a fireball, use the grappling hook and hook it diagonally so it will hit the other head. After doing that to both of the heads several times, the armors on their heads will break off. They will also pull their head under water to make a giant tidal wave and then send glaciers at you. Avoid it but using the grappling hook and walking on it like a tight rope. When they pull their head down to attack you, use the grappling hook and hook their tongue to one of the two remaining poles and strike at it with your sword until that head is defeated. Repeat as nessessary and collect the Azurine, one of the Pure Metals.

Eox, Ancient Stone Soldier

Eox

Weakness: Hammer and Sword.

Eox is a giant stone soldier who takes both halves of the DS screen. To defeat him, you must catapult yourself into the air using the Hammer. Once in the air, strike down the red parts on his arms, legs, head, back, and chest to damage him. After you hit all the parts, his wooden frame will be shown and you must hit all the red switches on him at once. His body will fall apart and he would only have a head. Catapult onto the top of his head and strike out the jewel on his head until he is defeated and collect the Aquanine.

Bellum, Evil Phantom

Bellum

Weakness: Grappling Hook, Bow and Arrows, Phantom Sword

The final battle! …Or almost. Anyways…

Bellum will come out the pool with mist around him. Pull off all the mist with the grappling hook and drag him to you and strike his eye with the Phantom Sword. He’ll then jump onto the second floor of the room, so follow him and shoot all of the eyes on his tentacles and make him fall. Repeat several times until he spits out the remainder of Ciela’s memories and powers. After which he does go down the staircase and get a Phantom Sphere. Tap the icon on the bottom and quickly draw the phantom hourglass on the small part of the screen to stop time. When time is frozen attack Bellum’s eye with the sword again until he is defeated. Oshus then will warp Link out of the area and onto Linebeck’s ship leading to the next battle.

Possessed Ghost Ship

Ghost Ship

Weakness: Cannon.

The battle is pretty easy and hard at the same time. Use the cannon to fire at the eye ball goops which come out of the ship. As well fire at the orbs they fire at you to keep your ship safe. Done correctly, you should have the ship down in no time and have your ship in tact. After which you can board on the ship to rescue tetra from Bellum, but save before you do!

Bellumbeck (Bellum Possessed Linebeck)

Bellumbeck

Weakness: Phantom Sword

The final duel with Bellum! Finally! Use a Phantom Sphere right at the start of the battle and strike at Bellum on Linebeck’s back. You can’t damage him for now, until Ciela goes back behind him to tell you when his eye is open on the top screen. Bellum will then take her hostage and she will be unable to give you another sphere. Charge at Bellumbeck and strike at him and rub the screen vigorously with the stylus to catch him off guard and strike him once to release ciel a bit so she can give you another Phantom Sphere. After his eye opens again, tap the hourglass icon and draw the hourglass again and get behind Bellumbeck and strike at Bellum’s eye with your sword. Spin attacks would be more effective against him as well as powered up Spirits. Repeat until defeat and you’ve beaten Phantom Hourglass!
