Online Trading Cards

Welcome to the Online Trading Cards section of Zelda Central. Here you can find information, news, and screen shots on our upcoming fan game, The Legend of Zelda: Trading Card Game, or LoZTCG.

In this trading card game, you will be able to connect and talk to up to 500 (per server) people at a time and be able trade cards which have features that effect your character or a piece of land.

Currently, the production team consists of Gerald Monaco and Barry Williams. So feel free to email us your questions based on the game.

Well, we have decided to switch development to Visual Basic, and C++. We still have all tiles and sprites, just need to code it up a bit more. We added a new screenshot, of the main server application. It seems now that we are looking for a person to host it, when the time comes, The requirements are: Broadband on 24/7, and an ISP that allows server hosting, with, but not limited to about 5gb of harddrive space, and atleast 190mb of RAM, and no bandwidth restrictions (Also running Windows98 up)! Remember, its not all required, but will be, for hosting the TCG server. All maps will be stored on a webserver, and automaticly updated by the client. - PS email me

Currently, most of the sprites and tiles are already done. Right now, I am heading towards coding more into the game. It will contain a complex chat system, and will allow very many people to connect to each other. So far, you can travel into 1 main room, and 2 mini dungeons in search of cards. Dont be frightened, we are only 12% done, and still working. The complete game is due by Febraury of 2004. That gives us enough time to finish and optimize the game. One nice function LoZ-TCG will have, is the ability to automatically update the game with new rooms and levels. One very exciting feature is... You will be able to auction off cards for any price ( as long as you have it ) and it will be posted on an all access website.

Soon after the final release, a program to create your very own server will be available to you. To use it, you will need at the most, a computer, atleast a 56k Dialup. You will need to allow people to connect to your pc for more than 10 minutes to be able to get a trade in.
