Happy Mask Shop [Young Link]
Requirements: Zelda's Lettter
In Kakariko Village, talk to the guard by the entrance to Death Mountain Trail. He wants to get his son a "popular mask" but can't since he has to guard the entrance. He asks you to go to the Happy Mask shop in Hyrule Market for him. Go over and borrow the Keaton Mask [the only mask that you are allowed to borrow] Now, you can borrow, deliver, and sell masks from the shop! Sell the Keaton mask to the guard by talking to him while wearing it and give the money to the Happy Mask Shop Man. Now, off you go to sell several other masks.
The second mask you borrow is the Skull Mask. Go to the lost woods and go left. There's a little skull kid who's sad because he's not scary. It you talk to him with the mask on, he'll but it from you. If you come back later, he'll tell you how all of his friends love his mask.
The third mask is the Spooky Mask. Go to the graveyard with the mask on and there is a little boy that tells you that he's too cute to be scary... and that he'd want the mask to look more like Dampé the grave digger!
The fourth mask is the Bunny Hood. It doesn't make you run faster like in MM, but it does the person you give it to! In Hyrule field, there is a man that runs all day. It may take a while, but he stays on the trail. Follow him until the sun sets then talk to him. He'll tell you that he's always wanted to see a rabbit because they were extinct. Come with an empty wallet because he'll give you all you can hold in rupees!
When you return, the happy mask man will give you the mask of truth. This mask enables the user to talk to gossip stones. You find them all over Hyrule. You can also borrow the Goron, Zora, and Gerudo masks if you wish.

Forest Stage Mask Game [Young Link]
Requirements: Zelda's Letter to be able to borrow masks
Trying to find the entrance is the hardest part. From the entrance to the lost woods, head right, left, right, left, left, then walk to the left side of the far tree where the butterflies are. You'll fall into a hole. There is a sign that says, "Put on your Best Face!" So, put on a mask! Deku Scrubs will pop out of the ground to judge you if you walk to the front of the stage. Here's what they'll do...

  • Keaton Mask: Rupees, spit out Deku Nuts, or nothing.
  • Skull Mask: Deku Leader will give you a Deku Stick upgrade [lets you hold more].
  • Spooky Mask: Rupees, spit out Deku Nuts, or nothing.
  • Bunny Hood: Rupees, spit out Deku Nuts, or nothing.
  • Goron Mask: Rupees, spit out Deku Nuts, or nothing.
  • Zora Mask: Rupees, spit out Deku Nuts, or nothing.
  • Gerudo Mask: Rupees, spit out Deku Nuts, or nothing.
  • Mask of Truth: Deku leader will give you Deku nut upgrade [lets you hold more].

Treasure Box Shop [Young Link]
Requirements: Lens of Truth [optional]
Enter Hyrule Market at night. A shop called the Treasure Box Shop should be open. It costs 10 rupees to play. The owner will give you a key. You can either go through each room opening each chest, hoping that it has another key. Or you can "cheat" by using the lens of truth. At the end is a heart piece!

Fishing Game [Young/Adult Link]
Requirements: None
When you go to Lake Hylia as Young Link, you can see a building along the bank of the lake. Inside is a fishing pond! If you talk to the owner, he'll let you use his fishing rod for 20 rupees. Your goal is to catch a "Lunker". When Link is young a Lunker is any fish 9 lbs and up. You'll be awarded a heart piece.
If you return to the fishing pond as an adult, the fish are now bigger. Now a lunker can weigh 14 lbs or more. You will be awarded a Gold Scale [which enables Link to swim deeper] if you manage to catch one.
You can also find a Sinking Lure as adult Link along the perimeter of the pond. It will let you catch a large fish called a Loach. This doesn't award you at all.

The Skull Kids [Young Link]
Requirements: Ocarina
To find them, enter the Lost Woods. Take a right. In this area, hop down into the meadow and hop onto the tree stump. Two Skull Kids will appear. Play the game of Simon Says on the Ocarina. If you manage to play all three songs, they will be amazed and give you a heart piece. If you are having trouble, write down what they play then play it to the beat when it is your turn to play.

Lon Lon Ranch Obstacle Course [Adult Link]
Requirements: Epona
After you kick Ingo back down into place, meet Malon near the horse corral. She'll notice that Epona likes you. If you continue talking to her, she'll offer you in a game. If you agree, you must take the obstacle course and jump over the fences within 50 seconds. If you succeed, a Lon Lon cow will be delivered to your house in the Kokiri Forest! Nifty!

Collecting the Cuccos (Bottle #1) [Young Link]
Requirements: None
Go to Kakariko Village. A woman near an empty pen will tell you that she lost her Cuccos and asks you to fetch them for her. Once you find a Cucco, throw it in the pen for credit. Here are the locations...

  • Next to the lady
  • Near the entrance
  • On a ledge [use your slingshot or fly over with another Cucco
  • Hidden in a wooden box [roll into it]
  • There are two over the high fence [Glide over it with a Cucco]
  • Next to the Well
  • Near the exit gate to Death Mountain

The Super Cuccos (Bottle #2) [Young Link]
Visit Lon Lon Ranch and enter the first door on the left. Talon is sleeping and a ton of Cuccos are running around! [hahaha, I'm so amused by Cuccos, I was in heaven in this room!] Wake Talon up and challenge you to finding three "super cuccos" within all of the others. If you find them in 30 seconds, you win a bottle filled with Lon Lon milk. A great way to cheat in this game is to throw all of the normal cuccos in behind where Talon is sleeping. The three Super Cuccos will fly the other direction, leaving only the Super Cuccos to pick.

Shooting Gallery [Young/Adult Link]
Requirements: Fairy Slingshot or Fairy Bow
As a child, Link can play this game in Hyrule Market. For 20 Rupees, you can shoot at 15 moving rupees with a set amount of Deku seeds. If you hit them all, you get a larger bullet bag that lets you hold more Deku seeds. If you miss one or two targets, you casn try again for free. Any more than that and you need to pay more.
When Link's older, the game is in Kakariko Village [for obvious reasons...] I don't think they wanted to have Redeads compete in shooting arrows... The game is the same, but you will be rewarding with a larger quiver to carry more arrows.

The Target Game [Young Link]
Requirements: Fairy Slingshot
Enter the Lost Woods and head to the right. Shoot at the target hanging from the tree. If you hit the center of the target three times in a row, a Deku Scrub [who is now your fan] will give you a bullet bag whic will let you hold more Deku Seeds.

Playing to the Frogs [Young Link]
Requirements: Saria's Song, Epona's Song, Zelda's Lullaby, Sun's Song, Song of Time, Song of Storms.
Stand on a log emerging onto the water on Zora's river. Navi will tell you that frogs are watching you. Play a song for them on your Ocarina. After each song, they will give you rupees. When you play all the songs, they will give you a heart piece.

The Fly Catching Game [Young Link]
Requirements: Clear the "Playing to the Frogs" mini-game
Now the frogs are big! Help them catch bugs! A bug will appear above their heads. Your job is to play the ocarina so that the correct frog jumps up. If you win, you receive a heart piece. If you are having trouble with this mini-game, try copying the song down [no matter what, it is the same pattern]

The Heart-Pounding Gravedigging Tour [Young Link]

Go to the Kakariko Graveyard between 6-9 pm. Dampé will be wandering around. For 10 rupees, Dampe will dig a hole for you. You will eventually dig up a heart piece. Warning: It may cost a lot of money!

The Ghost Hunter [Adult Link]
Requirements: Epona and One empty Bottle. [The more, the easier!]
Enter the market as adult Link and enter the door next to the gate. There is a professional ghost hunter. He’ll tell you a little about himself then how to catch Poes. Now ride around Hyrule field on Epona. When a Big Poe [ghost] appears, take out your bow and shoot it down. Catch it in a bottle and give it to the ghost Hunter. He’ll put 100 points on a card that he gives you and 50 rupees. When you reach 1,000 points on your Ghost Hunter Card, you will be rewarded with a bottle.

Racing Dampe’s Ghost[Adult Link]
Requirement: Longshot [optional]
If you obtained the Hookshot by keeping up with Dampe’s ghost the first time in the graveyard, you can return and face him again. You must beat 1 minute. If you do it, you win a heart piece.

Getting Epona [Young/Adult Link]
Requirement: Ocarina
As a child, visit Lon Lon Ranch and talk to Malon. Take out your ocarina and she’ll teach you Epona’s Song. Come back when your older and talk to Ingo [who is now in charge of the Ranch] For 10 rupees, you can ride a horse. Get on Epona [she’ll run up to you if you play Epona’s Song] Talk to Ingo while riding her. Dismount then then pay Ingo again for a second time. Talk to him again and he’ll challenge you in a race. Take him on with Epona.
Helpful hints: Stick to the inside of the track and stay in front of Ingo. Don’t use up your carrots too quickly.
When you win, Ingo will be shocked. He challenges you again and tells you that you can keep Epona if you beat him again. When you win the second time, Ingo closes the gates and locks you in. Jump the fence and the man will freak out and give the ranch back to Talon.

Horseback Archery Game [Adult link]
Requirements: Epona, Gerudo’s Membership Card
There is an archery game near the Gerudo’s training Ground. Speak to the attendant and you can go for a spin on Epona, trying to shoot the bulls eyes on Epona for 20 rupees. I was actually best at this game, so don’t be discouraged if you’re not good at shooting the bow! If you get 1,000 – 1,499 points, you win a heart piece. If you score even more, you win a larger quiver to carry more arrows.

The lost Dog [Young link]
Requirements: None
Go to Hyrule Marketplace at night. Lots of dogs are "prowling". They actually look more like a bunch of Scottish terriers running around. There is one white dog that barks continuously. That’s the lost one. Run around it until it follows you then run into the back alley. In one of the houses, the owner is overjoyed by her puppy, Richard’s, return. She’ll give you a heart piece.

The Big Goron Urn [Young Link]
Requirements: Bombs or bomb flowers
If you have been to the Goron City, you’ve probably noticed a giant spinning urn at the bottom. Throw in a bomb and it will spin madly until it explodes revealing rupees and a heart piece!

Lighting the Torches in Zora’s Domain [Young Link]
Requirement: Deku sticks
When you enter Zora’s Domain, light a deku stick and roll for your life! Literally! You’ll need all the speed that you can to be able to light all the torches! The last two are behind the waterfall. Use Din’s fire to light them. A chest will appear containing a heart piece. If you are too slow, you need to start all over again.

Bombchu Bowling Game [Young Link]
Requirements: Bomb Bag
Go to Hyrule Market. The Bombchu Bowling Alley is open during the day. For 30 rupees, you can play. The reward is random and you won’t know what you could win until you pay. You are given 10 Bombchu to break through 3 walls. To break a wall, you must make the Bombchu explode when it reaches a hole in the wall. You must beware of obstacles and watch out how many bombchu you have left. The random Cucco is not your target! Hehehe… You must knock down all three walls to retrieve the prize.
